Even the newest fans of the Panthers recognize that since former defensive coordinator Sean McDermott took over in Buffalo, they have been gathering many players who left Carolina. From upper management to the field, personnel have found themselves traveling north in recent years.

Kelvin Benjamin and Star Lotulelei remain but Mike Tolbert, Joe Webb and others have all been a part of the organization since McDermott’s take over. The familiarity between the two coaches and teams should provide for an interesting first test.

Although neither team’s starters are expected to play for more than a series, recent comments made by Benjamin about his time in Carolina add a unique twist to what would ordinarily be defined as just a regular preseason game.
