D.J. Moore

At least Thursday night, wideout D.J. Moore came exactly as advertised. The explosive playmaking ability he showed at Maryland was on display, and he showed why he was a first-round pick.

In total, Moore caught four passes on six targets for 75 yards to lead all Carolina Panthers wideouts. A 32-yard grab was his longest of the evening. At times last night, he was a human highlight film as he made several plays that showcased his lateral quickness and speed. In particular, some of his runs after the catch really turned into big plays.

Moore has the potential, and he showed a bit of it last night. If he can continue to work on his skills and go out and be able to contribute, that would be a major bonus. He could be the major weapon that Cam Newton has been missing for quite a while.
