Bleacher Report – No. 13 (No Change)

No one expected much to change after just one preseason game and the Panthers find themselves in the exact position they were one week ago. Remaining behind the Saints and Falcons, Carolina likely won’t improve their rank facing No. 32 Miami this week.

"[The Panthers] remain a dangerous team that made the playoffs a year ago. Carolina has an excellent defense and an MVP quarterback in Cam Newton."

Under new offensive coordinator Norv Turner, the expectations for quarterback Cam Newton and second-year running back Christian McCaffrey remain high. Able to contribute both out of the backfield and in the slot, McCaffrey and Newton provide a unique combination that Turner has never had before.
