Players battling with one another for a position on the Carolina Panthers final roster…

Carolina Panthers preseason game number three is historically when starters see their most extended action before the regular season. Typically, the fourth and final game is reserved for individuals coaches hope to get a more extended look at before ultimately deciding who makes the team prior to the September 1, 4:00pm ET deadline.

However, the Panthers still have a few positions which are undecided and those players competing for the spots should get a considerable amount of playing time this weekend against New England ahead of a preseason finale in Pittsburgh next Thursday (8/30).

As coach Ron Rivera continues to evaluate his team, inconsistent has been a trend through two games although the Panthers find themselves sitting at 2-0 to this point. That record may not mean much in terms of the playoffs but winning is habit forming and starting the season on a high note would be of benefit to Carolina.

Each of these following position battles is likely to continue against the Patriots and warrants special attention to see who wins in the end.
