The Carolina Panthers channel Madden with latest preseason uniform combination…

Carolina Panthers fans have been subjected to numerous changes around the organization, in personnel and on the roster throughout the offseason. New owner David Tepper entered amid a cloud of uncertainty as the organization had only known founder Jerry Richardson since its inception.

The transition appears to be going smoothly with Tepper, a constant presence at training camp and making an appearance at the stadium for last week’s game against the Miami Dolphins. Before kickoff, he even traveled around outside tailgating with a few lucky fans, getting a feel for those who support the latest addition to his expansive portfolio.

Coupled with him setting his own mark on the franchise, the Panthers have been experimenting with a few new uniform combinations this preseason. Last week, for the first time ever, Carolina wore their blue jerseys with white pants instead of the historic silver.

A nice look and welcome change but it didn’t quite match combined with the traditional silver helmet. However, the Panthers are now set to unveil another pairing never before seen in preseason game three against New England.

The black on black jersey and pants combination has already been named the “Greatest Uniform in NFL History” but this new set has the potential to supplant its ranking. Carolina is going to don their blue alternate jersey with black pants on Friday.

According to the team website, the changes are coming from the players but it’s a safe bet that the idea is at least tossed to Tepper for approval. Either way, after suffering through the unknown and a variety of shake ups this past offseason, the new changes have been well received by most fans.

A Week 8 home game against Baltimore is the only scheduled regular season appearance for the blue jerseys but whether they will be paired with silver or black pants remains to be seen.
