Rasheed Bailey

At a position that suffers from a logjam, Rasheed Bailey was the go-to guy Thursday. He led all Carolina Panthers wideouts with six catches for 68 yards. A 17-yard snag was his longest of the evening. Averaging 11.3 yards per catch, Bailey showed his playmaking ability and that he could spread the field. This was an important performance in a game where he needed to stand out.

Currently, Bailey is at the bottom of the depth chart and is slotted into the right wide receiver position per OurLads.com. The position itself is crowded with Devin Funchess and Jarius Wright harboring the first two spots, followed by Damiere Byrd. Jamaal Jones is slotted at the No. 4 spot while Bailey is all the way down at No. 5 along with Bug Howard.

As was the case with Brown, Bailey is certainly on the bubble. The Carolina Panthers already have enough weapons at wideout. On this night however, he made enough of an impression to at least make the practice squad. That is certainly not a bad thing as the team is loaded at the wideout position. Some talent just unfortunately will not make the 53-man roster because of the depth.
