Terrance Williams against Donte Jackson

For starters, this matchup brings interest because as a rookie, Jackson is being thrown into the fire immediately. After having a solid preseason (and admittedly due to the shift of depth at the cornerback position) Jackson is living the dream of every rookie.

Per the most recent depth chart from OurLads.com, he should be matched up against Terrance Williams.  Williams was second on the team behind Dez Bryant in receiving in 2017. Snagging 53 passes for 568 yards, he averaged 10.7 yards per catch. Those are not eye-popping numbers but they are still something worth noting because he can produce.

You may see Jackson struggle a bit in the early going here. Being a rookie he may mess up at times and have jitters. That is okay and is expected of a rookie. I think he has the potential to stifle Williams’ production and really make an impact early on. At the very least, he should be able to give Williams fits. The way he plays with aggressiveness and swagger should make the wideout uncomfortable.
