Panthers: Playoffs return justifiable in 2018
New Ownership
While having a new owner shouldn’t factor into how the team performs on the field, there is certainly a different dynamic surrounding the Panthers as they enter the 2018 season. Searching for ways to implement his own stamp on the organization, new owner David Tepper was seen tailgating with fans outside Bank of America Stadium prior to preseason games and is set for another big reveal when Week 1 arrives.

The Panthers also took the field with three never before seen uniform combinations which were reportedly originated from within the locker room but definitely signed off on by Tepper before being allowed to happen.
This new more relaxed atmosphere and improving relationship between fans and the franchise owner could pay dividends for everyone involved. Once the games begin to count a different approach may be felt from the front office but right now it appears everyone is on the same page and ready for the season to begin.
For an owner committed to winning both on and off the field, feelings may change as the results mount but if Tepper and the Panthers can deliver a Super Bowl championship to Charlotte it would firmly entrench him into the new role.
And it all starts with a return to the playoffs.
