Six of the 10 players offered practice squad positions come from the offensive side of the football. One pick from each of the skill positions in addition to two different offensive linemen. A position decimated by injuries early in the year, Carolina recognizes the need for depth at one of their most critical positions.

Undrafted free agent Kyle Allen enjoyed a nice preseason showing in game four to build some momentum and earn an opportunity in addition to running back Reggie Bonnafon. Another undrafted free agent, Bonnafon impressed enough for the Panthers to feel comfortable cutting Kenjon Barner, leaving only three active running backs (Christian McCaffrey, C.J. Anderson, Cameron Artis-Payne) on the roster.

Mose Frazier, who finished the preseason with a league leading three touchdowns, also continues his Panthers career after spending a majority of last year in the same position.
