Devin Funchess, WR

Devin Funchess began emerging from former first-round pick Kelvin Benjamin‘s shadow late last season, catching five of his eight touchdowns after Carolina traded Benjamin to Buffalo. As the new number one receiver for quarterback Cam Newton, Funchess is poised to make a run at becoming the Panthers first 1,000-yard receiver since the 2014 season.

Facing the Cowboys, Funchess should be a primary target for Newton, especially inside the red zone. At 6-foot-5 the Panthers wideout will have a sizable advantage over the shorter Dallas cornerbacks creating jump ball opportunities.

Funchess caught four of his five targets in the preseason for 54 yards and after working for an entire training camp with a healthy Newton, the pair will be ready to capitalize on the Cowboys secondary.
