Carolina Panthers: What to expect from the Dallas Cowboys
As the Carolina Panthers prepare to host the Dallas Cowboys to kickoff 2018, we go behind enemy lines with FanSided’s The Landry Hat.
The Carolina Panthers open regular season play at home for the first time since 2013 when they host NFC East opponent, the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday (9/8). In what is expected to be a tight playoff race across the conference, this Week 1 matchup already has the feeling of a game with playoff implications.
Both teams have endured preseason injuries and odd medical situations so neither will be at full strength when the two meet. The Panthers especially, have suffered numerous injuries to their offensive line although two projected starters, Amini Silatolu and Daryl Williams, each practiced this week but both are listed as “questionable” for Sunday.
Carolina is kicking off a new era under David Tepper, who is working to put his own stamp on the organization. A season opening win over Dallas would provide a nice welcome to the NFL and undoubtedly, a memorable experience for the new owner.
For a preview and to gather some inside information, Cat Crave asked our sister site The Landry Hat and Cowboys expert Steven Mullenax a few questions about the upcoming game.
