Secondary: B

Benefiting from a dominating pass rush, the Panthers secondary played well behind them. Rookie Donte Jackson earned the start opposite James Bradberry and recorded five tackles of his own, including help in run support.

There was some miscommunication at one point, leaving a Cowboys receiver wide open but Prescott couldn’t connect and for a unit that has historically suffered, this was a good first showing.

Captain Munnerlyn played a significant amount of snaps at the nickel position and helped guarantee a Panthers win by recovering Prescott’s late fumble. This group will be tested again next week against the Falcons receiving corps, including Julio Jones.
