Quarterback: B

Cam Newton continually displays never before seen acts of athleticism from the quarterback position, moving the offense and scoring touchdowns – both of which he did against Dallas, but somehow still manages to have detractors.

He finished 17 of 26 (65-percent) passing for 161 yards but didn’t throw a touchdown. What he did do was rush for 58 yards on 13 carries and score his league leading (55) red zone rushing  score since 2011.

A few passes missed high, some were caught – thank you Greg Olsen, but a majority were perfectly placed in addition to Newton opting for an underneath route on a few occasions. After one dump to running back Christian McCaffrey, who gained 14 yards on third-and-seventeen, Newton smiled as if saying to himself, this might actually work.
