Running Back: B-

An early fumble by running back Christian McCaffrey halted the Panthers first possession which appeared to be heading for the end zone. It didn’t correlate into anything for the Cowboys but was an unfortunate occurrence for a second-year back expected to receive a majority of the carries this season.

McCaffrey responded well and ultimately ended up with 50 yards on 10 carries in addition to leading all Panthers players with six receptions (45 yards). New addition C.J. Anderson also averaged five yards per carry looking like a strong contender to earn more responsibility as the season progresses.

Fullback Alex Armah scored his first career touchdown to start the fourth quarter – a one-yard plunge into the end zone.
