Luke Kuechly

He is not associated with Superman for nothing. Luke Kuechly is the top stud on this list because quite frankly, he balled out. Heading into the season, he was thought of as a player who was going to be counted on heavily to make an impact. He did just that against the Cowboys.

Recording 13 total tackles (11 of those solo), he seemed to have a nose for the football. He was in the middle of every play and did a nice job of wrapping up and making solid tackles. There is no doubt he is the anchor of the defense, and as long as he is healthy, that is a role that should not change. His 13 tackles were the second-most on the day. Anthony Hitchens of the Kansas City Chiefs led the league with 15 on the afternoon.

Kuechly will have to follow up his performance against Dallas with an even bigger one against Atlanta. With Thomas Davis still out as a result of his suspension, Kuechly will have to continue to fill the role of defensive catalyst.
