ESPN – No. 11 (+1)

This week’s ‘New Faces In New Places’ edition of the NFL Power Rankings from ESPN highlights the performance of running back C.J. Anderson. Signed as a free agent, Anderson was a 1,000 yard rusher last year for the Denver Broncos.

"C.J. Anderson went north and south in his debut, spelling Christian McCaffreywith seven rushes for 35 yards (5.0 yards per rush), with all going between the tackles, and six of the seven rushes up the middle (between the guards). Last year’s power back, Jonathan Stewart, went for 5.0 yards per rush in two of his 15 games. — Clawson"

Averaging five-yards per carry, Anderson provided a nice change of pace to running back Christian McCaffrey. As the season progresses, he could work himself into more carries as well, depending on game situations.

Judging from his performance on Sunday, he’s ready.
