Score Early

The Falcons opened 2018 on Thursday night in Philadelphia losing a sloppy game against the defending Super Bowl champions. Neither team performed well but ultimately Atlanta fell when they couldn’t find the end zone in five plays from the 10-yard line as time expired.

They will be rested and ready to play in front of their home crowd. Carolina hasn’t left Atlanta with a victory since 2014 and if they want to win on Sunday they need to score early, setting a tone for the game.

An early score would help quiet what is expected to be a loud crowd inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium, in addition to giving the Panthers offense a bit of confidence off which to build for the remainder of the game – although a defensive score would be nice too.
