Pressure QB Matt Ryan

Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan is a former league MVP and franchise quarterback for the Falcons. If given time to stand upright in the pocket and operate without fear of being hit, he’s going to pick Carolina apart.

The key to stopping Ryan is getting pressure on him consistently. Even when he’s not under duress, if the Panthers have gotten to him enough times early, he’ll be nervous. This benefits both the defensive front and secondary attempting to contain the Falcons numerous weapons at other skill positions.

Ryan was sacked four times last week, threw an interception and never found the end zone in 43 pass attempts. A similar line on Sunday should earn Carolina win number two.
