Cam Newton

After he struggled a bit last Sunday, Cam Newton bounced back and had a great performance when he needed to have it most. He looked more comfortable in the pocket today and certainly had more zip on his throws.

Newton went 32-of-45 for 332 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. He got everyone involved on Sunday. Four wideouts had at least 50 yards, and that was a result of him making better, quicker reads and being more decisive with the football. Personally, I wondered how Week 2 in a new offense would look for Newton, and he looked great. Obviously, the only blemish for him on the afternoon was the interception, however four touchdowns in the first two games is not too shabby.

I’m excited to see what he can do against the Cincinnati Bengals next week. The Bengals have given up 664 yards through the air so far this season and Newton should be able to find holes in the defense and have a big game in Week 3
