Quarterback: B+

Cam Newton was expecting to have weapons surrounding him on offense this season but through two games, he continues to be the driving force of the offense. A legitimate task for any quarterback but even a little bit of help on Sunday could have resulted in a different outcome.

The Panthers quarterback again led the team in rushing yards (42) with only five carries and rebounded from a blatant cheap shot taken by Atlanta cornerback Damontae Kazee after converting a third-down with his legs.

Newton passed for 335-yards, three touchdowns and only one interception after a pass bounced off the hands of running back C.J. Anderson. He completed 71-percent of his passes and all of his numbers would have increased if not for multiple drops suffered throughout the game.
