Running Back: C+

Running back Christian McCaffrey continues to carry the load from the backfield more so through receiving than anything else, he had a team high 14 catches on Sunday. Averaging just under five-yards per carry, McCaffrey was only asked to rush eight times in the game.

Anderson got only three carries and again showed that he needs to receive more, churning out 31-yards. Despite the obvious strengths of each back, McCaffrey disappeared for a bit in the second half and down two scores, Newton was attempting to complete passes with Anderson – which resulted in a turnover.

Offensive coordinator Norv Turner needs to utilize both moving forward and create more opportunities and run-pass options for this complimentary backfield.
