After a month of shifting people and positions due to multiple injuries up front, Carolina received a second consecutive solid performance from their offensive line. Center Ryan Kalil anchors a unit that is continually improving and has shown the depth of this position.
His backup, Tyler Larsen has been playing alongside him and the two responsible for making calls on blocking assignments and protection have been working in unison together. On the outside Chris Clark, who joined the team last week, and second year utility lineman Taylor Moton have held their own as well.
Newton was sacked just once and the 230 rushing yards created were the most since Week 10 of last season. Having an early bye week this group should only improve from more practice repetitions and experience.
Overall, it was a solid performance that ended in victory with few mistakes other than needing more consistent production from the wide receiver position.
