Luke Kuechly gave fans their second scare of the season, exiting during the fourth quarter and retiring to the locker room. Fortunately, he was treated quickly for dehydration and able to return, where he registered an interception as time expired.

This group has performed well in the absence of veteran linebacker and captain Thomas Davis, who is set to return after one more game. Shaq Thompson led the team with seven solo tackles (eight total) and continues to impress in an expanded role.

Rookie fifth-round pick Jermaine Carter played three defensive snaps for his first action of the season.
