CAR vs. CIN – Don’t Worry About Norv Turner

Results sure look meaningful on Newton’s planned runs, but the phrase you’re going to hear (even more) often will revolve around five more pounds of well-defined muscle/guns McCaffrey showed up with’ this year for the exact purpose of breaking tackles. A-1 FACT: Even if some fans already think he’s overused and will wear out, he’s good to go at this rate.  As a sophomore at Stanford (2015) Christian McCaffrey set an NCAA single season record for all purpose yardage (3,496) that included *337 carries* (2,019 yards) and being a kickoff and punt returner!  That stiff arm he fed someone on a 15-yard gain and skipped over was sweet, and came just before Anderson’s touchdown catch.

Torrey Smith had a catch for 18 yards just before that McCaffrey run, so there’s a lot going on with offensive pieces/’targets’.

Shaq Thompson was the only front line defender with significant tackles (7). Panthers will have their bye week, then play the New York Giants. James Bradberry will have Odell Beckham, Jr. to deal with, and Eli Manning can still sling it when he’s upright, which now becomes a question to replace the ‘How long…?” one about the offensive line.
