He is a playmaker

There is no denying that Reid can ball. As a matter of fact, athleticism is something that runs in the family. His brother Justin was a standout at Stanford and was interviewed by the Panthers during the pre-draft scouting process.

The elder Reid has made one Pro Bowl to this point in his career. That came in 2013 when he was par of a stalwart San Francisco 49ers defense. That year, he notched 73 tackles and four interceptions (which were returned for 54 yards). In addition, he also recorded two fumble recoveries and 12 pass deflections. In addition, he made the 2013 NFL All-Rookie Team. For his career, Reid has recorded 264 tackles and 10 interceptions in five seasons of work.

The Carolina Panthers already possess many playmakers in their secondary. Rookie cornerback Donte Jackson has already proved himself to be a tremendous asset to the defense. We all know what the linebackers can do as well. In terms of playmaking, Reid fits in right away with the rest of the defense. He is flashy, is not afraid to make big plays, and he can put fear in the hearts of offenses. That sounds like an Eric Washington guy to me.
