Week 4: Bye

The bye week allowed for an abundance of healing around the Carolina locker room in addition to remaining at No. 2 in the NFC South. Losses to both the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers made for an enjoyable off week.

Week 5: vs. New York Giants (1-3), 1:00pm

Former general manager Dave Gettleman returns to Carolina for the first time since being fired by founder Jerry Richardson before the 2017 season. His Giants have struggled to start 2018, losing to Jacksonville, Dallas and New Orleans with their lone win coming against the Houston Texans.
