The Carolina Panthers newest acquisition will get his first shot on Sunday.

In case you have not heard, Eric Reid is starting on Sunday. Once a valued member of some dominant San Francisco 49ers defenses, he will now bring his talents to the Carolinas. Over the years, we have seen what he can bring to the table. He is an impact player, whose style of play should benefit an already stacked defense.

Now, he will be put to the test. The New York Giants offense is full of playmakers, which should work to his benefit as he will probably be playing in the middle of the field. It will be interesting to see exactly how he does as he adjusts to a new defense and new surroundings. For Reid, the journey starts on Sunday. There is a great chance he could have a major impact for the Panthers not only on Sunday, but down the road as well.

Without further ado, we make three bold predictions for Eric Reid.
