McCaffrey will rush for 100

He has now become more of a receiving back, but that does not mean Christian McCaffrey cannot run. After all, he did so at Stanford, and showed a bit of skill in his rookie season last year. My bold prediction for him is that he will run for over 100 yards this week.

Given his season stats, this may seem a bit far-fetched.  He has only rushed for 100 yards once this season. That came against the Bengals on September 23, as he pounded the rock for 184 yards. Averaging 6.6 yards per carry, he was a huge part of the offensive gameplan. A 45-yard scamper was his longest of the game, and remains the longest of the season to this point.

So far, he has excelled in the offense the most as a receving back. Last week against the Giants, he struggled a bit. Rushing the rock 17 times for 58 yards, he averaged 3.4 yards per carry. This does not concern me as I think he has found his niche in this new offense. However, I would like to see him try to slice and dice the Redskins’ defense.

This may be a tough test for CMC as Washington has the fourth-best run defense in football. With 370 yards allowed on the season, they only give up an average of 92.5 yards per game. They do rank No. 13 in the National Football League with four yards allowed per carry so there is some hope there for McCaffrey to find running room. With the way the offense has been clicking however, I feel he is in line for a big day.

Moore will score a touchdown. dark. Next
