Three bold predictions for the Panthers against the Redskins
Moore will find paydirt
D.J. Moore has been put on the backburner for a good portion of the 2018 season due to the team having so many weapons. The rookie from Maryland possesses tremendous playmaking ability and has made the most of his opportunities. He is finally beginning to accrue some numbers to show for it.
Last week against the Giants, Moore had a big day. He snagged four passes for 49 yards. He averaged 12.3 yards per catch and had a 20-yard catch that was his longest of the day. Statistically in terms of yards, that was not even his best day. He caught two passes for 51 yards and recorded a touchdown in the game against the Falcons. Although the majority of the snaps at left wide receiver have been given to Torrey Smith, Moore should get his fair share of opportunities.
Washington has the top=ranked passing defense in the NFL with 228 receiving yards allowed per game. However, this is a case where Moore can use his speed to get ahead of the defensive backs. I do not think the cornerbacks will make Moore’s day a walk in the park, but Moore should be able to get some opportunities. If he can get at least three catches and a touchdown, I would call that a good day.
