Defensive Line: C+

The Panthers reached Smith three times including a strip sack forced by Julius Peppers, his first of the season. Mario Addison added the other sack for a Carolina defensive front that was penetrated at times.

Peterson ran effectively and with a burst as the Washington line moved players out of the way. It was a disappointing performance after seeing a resurgence in the ability to get after the quarterback.

This group appears to still be working their way through the rotations despite defensive coordinator Eric Washington being the unit’s coach prior to his promotion.
