Thomas Davis finished second in tackles with six while defending two passes for the Panthers in his season debut. Playing nearly every defensive snap, the Carolina coaches couldn’t help but keep Davis on the field as he continues to contribute for this group.

Luke Kuechly racked up nine tackles, leading the Panthers defense and continually appeared to be motioning the defense to get going. After surrendering the early scores, this group appeared to settle down leading the way for a Panthers opportunity at a comeback.

Unfortunately the hole was too deep but the play from this particular unit continues to impress. Shaq Thompson added four tackles of his own, including the third sack of Smith for the Panthers.
