NFC Standings

Carolina is 3-2 and only two other teams have a better record than the Panthers – Los Angeles, the only undefeated team in the entire league, and New Orleans. The Saints were off last week and while the Panthers could have tied them atop the NFC South division, two games still exist between these two teams.

The Panthers play four of their six divisional games over the final five weeks of the regular season so there is still plenty of time for things to change. Even with a few more losses, if Carolina can defeat their divisional opponents, they should be standing tall by the year’s end.

It’s a tight race and while a win would have given Carolina one of the top two current records, the fact is there are still 11 games to be played. Eight come against conference opponents, leaving plenty of time to move back up the standings.
