Win the Turnover Battle

Carolina was the victim of this aspect last week and you can bet coach Ron Rivera has preached protecting the football all week. In the NFL every week is different and seemingly any team can win with a thin line separating the good from the bad, turnovers fall on that line.

Creating more takeaways then giveaways is one way to ensure your team has the best chance to win and against Philadelphia, the Panthers must protect the football. Just last week, Washington turned three turnovers into 10 points – not to mention the momentum swings associated with losing a possession.

Philadelphia has nine turnovers on the season compared to just six takeaways. If the Panthers protect the football and are able to win the turnover battle, it will aid in their quest for victory.
