Luke Kuechly

Man or machine? Superman or just a really good football player? If you are Luke Kuechly, those are all fair questions worth asking. He had another great game on Sunday, and he showed that as the grind of the season continues, he can continue to play at a high level.

He had 14 tackles, a sack, and a quarterback hit. The 14 tackles gave him 39 on the season and the quarterback sack was his first of the year. As a unit, the defense was not good at all. Cam and Co. bailed them out in a big way. However, Kuechly was one of the lone bright spots in the game. Only Darius Leonard (17) and C.J. Mosley (16) had more tackles on Sunday.  This marks the second time this year Kuechly has finished in the top three for tackles. He also did it in Week Two when he recorded 13 against the Falcons.

The Panthers need him to continue playing at a high level. As Sunday showed, there are still too many holes in the defense. If he can at least be one constant for the defense, that could at least give them a starting point to get things corrected.
