Turnover Margin

Always an important factor, winning the turnover margin will be essential for the Panthers to ensure a victory. Tampa Bay only has four losses and other than a complete meltdown in Chicago, the other three setbacks came by a combined 11 points.

What is even more impressive is the Buccaneers turned the football over four times in two different, three-point losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals. Two more turnovers came in a five-point loss to the Atlanta Falcons and the fact they only created one takeaway in these three games – COMBINED -is worrisome.

Two of the turnovers against Pittsburgh and Cincinnati led to 14 points in each game, yet the Buccaneers only lost by three both times. Imagine if they hold onto the football? For this reason, Carolina must create turnovers and take full advantage in order to win.
