Christian McCaffrey has been utilized effectively by the Panthers this season although it may not be in a traditional running back role. Able to impact the game via the pass or run, McCaffrey has accumulated an astonishing number of total yards through eight games and continues to be a factor anytime he touches the football.

Only 206 yards shy of his cumulative total from his rookie season, McCaffrey has 880 yards from scrimmage on 109 carries and 49 receptions. He should easily surpass his previous total as he continues to help the Carolina offense.

The addition of C.J. Anderson during the offseason initially provided illusions of a two-headed attack for the offense but Anderson has been used sparingly. Although he has appeared more in recent weeks with McCaffrey in the backfield, his contributions continue to be minimal.
