No other positional group on offense deserves more accolades than the offensive line. Even with Newton playing at an MVP level and McCaffrey significantly increasing his production, none of it would be possible without the performance of this unit.
Decimated by injuries early in the preseason that carried over into the regular league schedule, the Panthers have done a phenomenal job of filling the gaps and putting together a cohesive unit that was not only able to cover for those injured but may challenge for playing time once they return.
Tackle Chris Clark was added after the season began but has made a nice argument for remaining in his current role once Matt Kalil is healthy. A difficult situation to be in regarding the amount of initial injuries, Carolina coach Ron Rivera may find himself in a more problematic scenario when this time comes.
A solid performance for the Carolina offense through the first eight games, this unit appears to be improving each and every week.
