The Carolina Panthers win allowed them to keep pace in the NFC South.

After a pivotal week across the NFC South, every team held their respective positions across the board. A big win for New Orleans keeps them one game ahead of the pack as the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons are in pursuit.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continued to show fight behind former backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick but their defense failed to slow down quarterback Cam Newton and the Panthers offense during the first half on Sunday.

As the regular season weeks shorten, each game begins to carry more weight and soon divisional games will be the order almost each and every week. Until then, another slate of outside opponent contests lingers and one slip up could cost a team their opportunity at the playoffs.
