The Panthers have a tough task ahead of them on Thursday.

Nothing like a little Thursday night football to break up the monotony of the week. The Carolina Panthers will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in a matchup that has seen David Tepper at the reins of both. The Steelers come into this game with a 5-2 record, while the Panthers have a one-game edge with a 6-2 mark. High-powered offenses go toe-to-toe as both team looks to make a statement under the primetime lights.

The last time these two teams met in the regular season was in September 2014. The Steelers beat the Panthers handily by a 37-19 score. The Steelers lead the all-time series 5-1, with the lone Panthers win coming via a 18-14 victory back in 1999. The Panthers certainly hope to reverse that trend. Maybe, Tepper will bring them some good luck.

Without further ado, we take a look at three key matchups for the Panthers when they take on the Steelers.
