Solid Secondary Play

The Panthers secondary has consistently been improving their play all season. Since safety Eric Reid joined the team, his ability to fit into the system and consistent improvement, in addition to being more comfortable playing alongside Mike Adams, has raised the overall performance level for this unit.

In recent weeks, Reid, Adams, cornerback Donte Jackson and Captain Munnerlyn all have at least one interception. Against future Hall of Fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and an elite group of wide receivers, this unit will be tested again.

If the Panthers secondary can contain Roethlisberger and his receiving weapons then Carolina’s chances of victory significantly improve.
