The Carolina Panthers remain in good standing despite disappointing loss.

Every week from now until the end of the season, the Carolina Panthers and every other NFC South team is in action. With only six weeks remaining after Week 11, playoff races are beginning to heat up as the league separates the contenders from pretenders over the next few games.

Currently, Carolina owns the first wild card berth in the NFC with a 6-3 record but they have both games against NFC South leading New Orleans remaining. Not scheduled to play until Weeks 15 and 17, the games could either be significantly important or rendered meaningless by then.

Elsewhere, there are other challengers and the next couple of games will determine if anyone else from this division will respond to contend for the title. Expected to be a tight race prior to the season, there is enough football remaining for things to get extremely interesting.
