We take a look at some key matchups for the Panthers as they take on the Lions.

The Carolina Panthers and Detroit Lions are set to face off  Sunday. Both teams are coming off significant losses. Carolina got embarrassed at the hands of the Pittsburgh Steelers on national television by a 52-21 score. Detroit lost to division rival Chicago by a 34-22 mark. Both teams are looking to put together better performances and get back on the winning track. Detroit comes into this game with a mark of 3-6 putting them last in a competitive NFC North division. Carolina currently sits in second place in the NFC South with a 6-3 mark.

Carolina leads the all-time series between these two teams by a 6-2 margin. They last met on October 8, 2017. In that contest, the Panthers squeaked by with a 27-24 win. Cam Newton threw for 355 yards and three touchdowns, pacing the offensive attack.
