Fast Start

Carolina enjoyed a fast start on offense last Thursday night but it didn’t transition into a victory. The reason? It was one sided and lasted only for a single series. During the string of recent victories the Panthers have put together consecutive scoring drives of at least three possessions every game.

Not saying the Panthers need touchdowns on each of their first three possessions but some points right off the bat and a defensive stop would at least calm fears of a complete breakdown. It would also help to keep Detroit, who hasn’t led since the first quarter – three weeks ago, in a losing frame of mind.

Easier said than done, a positive start for the Panthers would assist in regaining some confidence after their most recent performance.
