The Panthers will have a tough road contest on Sunday.

It’s Thursday, meaning it is that much closer to game day. The Carolina Panthers will take on the Detroit Lions in a game where they look to bounce back. Although they are fourth in the NFC North, this Detroit team is no slouch. They have a pass rush that is mean, aggressive, and difficult to defend. On top of that, they have a quarterback in Matthew Stafford that has the ability to throw the ball downfield for big plays. Under new head coach Matt Patricia, the Lions are trying to find an identity as they try to work their way to the top of the NFC North.

Although this Detroit team may be tough, they do have holes. The Panthers should be able to exploit those if they play Panther football. Cam Newton among others need to have a big game as Carolina looks to keep pace in the NFC South. There is no doubt that when the team is firing on all cylinders, they are tough to beat. They just need to go out and execute the game plan.

Without further ado, we take a look at three key matchups for the Panthers.
