Cam must stay consistent

Cam Newton must continue to be the leader of the offense. The quarterback is having one of the best seasons of his career and he has kept the Panthers in many games. As the toll of the season wears on many players, Newton needs to make sure that he can continue to play at a high level.

Newton has thrown for 2, 699 yards, 23 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. In the month of November, he was superb. He went 92-of-121 in pass attempts, throwing for 1,053 yards, nine touchdowns, and three interceptions. His 116.2 quarterback rating was his highest of any month during the season. His 75.8 offensive rating against Seattle was his highest of the season, and he showed that even in defeat, he could turn it on when it mattered most.

The Panthers need him to continue being the confident passer he has shown he can be this season. Cam Newton must continue to lead the offense and make smart and accurate reads. Of course, we are all human. There may be a couple games during the rest of the season, especially during the Saints set of games, where he struggles. That is okay. Panthers fans should not look for him to be perfect every time out. I do think it is important that he puts together  good games for the remainder of the season. The Panthers need him to be on the money as they look to make a playoff run. He is having a season that is reminiscent of 2015, and we all know what happened that year.
