See how each Carolina Panthers defensive unit has performed through 12 games.

Three-quarters of the way through 2018, the Carolina Panthers fell victim to a significant slide. Winning six of their first eight games, the Panthers have lost four in a row over the third quarter, are in jeopardy of having a losing season and missing out on the playoffs entirely.

After allowing over 30-points per game during the losing streak coach Ron Rivera has assumed control of the defense for the final four games of the year. In addition, the Panthers parted ways with defensive line coach Brady Hoke and secondary assistant Jeff Imamura.

First-year coordinator Eric Washington was spared but no one may be safe with new owner David Tepper, unless the team can right the ship over this final stretch. The stretch has impacted the performance of a few units – in particular, the defensive line, secondary and special teams, which have all seen a significant drop in production.

Continue to view the grades earned by each defensive and special teams unit for their performance with only four games remaining.
