Missed Opportunities

The infamous line from Rivera when things don’t go his teams way during a contest, another missed opportunity would be failing to make the playoffs. Panthers fans should realize that even if they believe Carolina would be a one-and-done, there is still reason to appreciate getting a berth.

There are 32 teams in the NFL, 16 in the NFC and only six are getting into the tournament. Once the playoffs begin, nobody cares if you were 16-0 during regular season play or 7-8-1 as the Panthers were back in 2014. That season, they were arguably less talented yet won a game before losing to eventual NFC champion, Seattle.

Being one of 12 teams from the league to have a legitimate chance at hoisting the Lombardi Trophy after a grueling regular season is much better then sitting on the couch in January rehashing the missed opportunities from the season.
