How ‘Bout Them Cowboys

Currently, the Chicago Bears occupy the No. 3 seed with Dallas sitting at No. 4 and neither is expected to catch either Los Angeles or New Orleans, at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. The Cowboys remaining opponents have a combined record of 17-22 and they’re playing great right now, winning five in a row.

Depending on how Chicago finishes (vs. Packers, at 49ers, at Vikings) down the stretch, the Cowboys could overtake the Bears for the No. 3 seed and would then host a Carolina Panthers team sneaking into the playoffs.

A rematch from Week 1, the Panthers defeated Dallas 16-8 and while the game would be on the road, already having notched a victory over their playoff opponent would be a great motivator for the Panthers in the playoffs.
