Michael Thomas

It feels kind of weird putting Michael Thomas at the bottom of this list, but the New Orleans Saints have so much talent, that it is necessary. The former Ohio State product should definitely be a player to key on for the Panthers. He is one of the most electrifying receivers in the National Football League, and Carolina should take note of that.

On the season, Thomas has caught 102 passes for 1,218 yards and eight touchdowns. He was a key contributor in the Saints 28-13 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday. He caught 13 passes for 98 yards, and averaged 9.8 yards per catch. Per statistics from Pro Football Focus, Thomas had a receiving rating of 83.3. That was his highest mark since an 81.9 rating against the Philadelphia Eagles back in week 11.

He is your prototypical big-play receiver. If you do not stop him, you are in trouble. The Panthers had difficulty stopping Jarvis Landry last week. Thomas is an even better receiver. The bottom line is, Carolina needs to make sure that they can lock down Thomas or it could be a long afternoon for them. He is an essential component of the New Orleans passing offense.
