Alvin Kamara

Up next on the list is a player who is essential in both areas of the offense. Alvin Kamara can do it all. He has proven to be a threat out of the backfield in the passing and running game. He is truly a matchup nightmare for defenses and his size and strength make him difficult to tackle.

On the season, Kamara has rushed the ball 173 times for 793 yards, and 11 touchdowns. He ranks third in the National Football League in total touchdowns. As receiver, he has caught 70 passes for 591 yards and four touchdowns. Last Sunday against the Buccaneers, he was relatively quiet. He carried the ball 12 times for 51 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry. He caught five passes for 36 yards, averaging 7.2 yards per carry. He was effective, but those were not the same type of numbers we are accustomed to seeing from him. He only had one rush of 10 yards or more in that contest.

This should be a fun match up to watch as Carolina is ranked seventh in the National Football League in run defense. They have only given up 1,160 yards on the season. They give up 4.2 yards per carry. Kamara has averaged 4.6 yards per carry so far this year. It will be a battle of strength against strength, and this is a matchup the Panthers will need to win if they want to have any shot at winning this game.
